Samed - Psammead

Psammead or Samed (Onegai! Samia-Don)

This was an anime I remember watching when I was younger, but I barely remember any of the plot.
I do recall that this little sand-nymph used to grant wishes for a group of kids that be-friended him. The wishes vanished at the sunset of the day the wish was granted.
It seems the anime story is based on a novel, but it's a li'l bit different, perhaps enhancing the episodic theme of the series.
I've picked up a few episodes on youtube, and they aren't as cool as I remember them, but it's ok, I still like Psammead's design.
