You know? This drawing of Bengus is one of my favorites of Vega/M. Bison. It's one of just a few where he looks more human, in my opinion.
With a simple gesture like this, wiping away sweat or adjusting his hair. Seems more human.
Is it because of his expression, the fact that he doesn't smile sadistically like in most of the other drawings? There's something there that emanates not only weariness, melancholy, and frustration, but also composure and presence. Perhaps for him, it's just another Tuesday.
I tried to combine it with the style of my favorite Capcom artist, Nishimura Kinu, and here's my version of the Vega/M. Bison that I consider "more human."
This drawing is dedicated to a very good friend of mine; Vega//Bison's his favorite Street Fighter character, and he hasn't been going through a good time lately. While he was telling me everything he was going through, this drawing of Dictator came to mind. Even the most powerful SF, the toughest opponent of them all, has his "off" days... You have to keep going. Wipe the sweat from your brow under your cap, and go out and conquer the world.

Saben?
